Lock On! Oneshot Manga

February 18, 2010

I have always wanted to read a manga about or are related to photography since I’m an amateur photographer, and today I came across this oneshot manga call Lock On! by Tsuchida Kenta

The story is about Utsuru Sanada, a professional photographer at the age of 17, he can guess the exact 3 sizes of any girl, he can memorize anything he sees, and he can counterattack karate moves (Most guys would want these abilities). Why? Because he has superb photographic memory called “Shutter Eye” (Shutter as in the shutter of a camera). He meets Niko Kurihara, the female protagonist, who dislikes men, is a master of martial arts, and is of course beautiful. Utsuru attempts to prove to Niko that he is not the guy she thinks he so he can take a picture of her. He starts by investigating Niko’s friend’s date, who appears to be a deceiving guy according to rumors……

The character design is pretty good, and the story keeps you on the edge (as you don’t know what will happen next).  It’s a Shounen Jump manga so it’s has your typical battle scenes, but the style is something new to me, a very original fighting style.

So far I heard that this series is already serialized, but since I can only find the oneshot, I’m not 100% sure yet.

If you are interested in photography or  Shounen Jump stream manga then I highly recommend you to give this a try (^_^)
