Heroman

April 3, 2010

I just finished watching the first episode of Heroman, onw of the most anticipated anime of this season.  From what I’ve seen so far this series has some serious potential, but that still depends on how the story will go in the future.

Heroman is about an American kid named Joey lives in an urban city & has always wanted to become a hero. Unfortunately he’s just an orphan working part time to support his grandma and himself. After he watched a toy commercial on a new robot action figure, Joey believe he’ll gain strength if he obtains one. The only robot toy he can get his hands on is a broken one that was abandon by a rich school bully. Feeling pity for the trashed action figure, Joey took it home to repair it. Little did he know, that once he repairs the toy, it’ll make his hero dream become a reality.

Heroman was originally a manga created by Stan Lee who are most well know for his work, Spiderman in Marvel.  The manga was first publish in September 2009 in the Monthly Shōnen Gangan.

So back to what I think of the series.  I think the story is pretty original, and the character designs are really well drawn.  The series gets a 9/10 from me.
