Sony Playstation Vita

In the beginning of the of year Sony announced the NGP at the Tokyo Game show and with many speculation on this new handheld in mind, Sony revealed that the NGP will be officially named as the Playstation Vita (Vita means “life”) during E3 in LA.

The handheld will be released at the end of 2011 with the WIFI version costing $249USD and 3G costing $299USD.

Launch titles:

PS Vita’s launch lineup is a force to be reckoned with, featuring exciting and attractive new titles from SCE Worldwide Studios, including UNCHARTED: Golden Abyss, LittleBigPlanet, and Ruin (working title), which utilize PS Vita’s groundbreaking technology to make unprecedented immersive, interactive and social game play available on-the-go.

In addition, titles such as Little Deviants, Hot Shots Golf, Reality Fighter, Hustle Kings, ModNation Racers, Wipeout, Super Stardust Delta and a broad range of third-party game developers and publishers make use of PS Vita’s unique feature set.

    NIntendo needs to do something to the 3DS price point as the the Vita costs the same. They also need to do amazing things on the software front. I believe that they will unveil something amazing though. They’re not stupid.

    The Vita is going to be very cool! You will never use your PSP again. Anyone who buys a 3DS is a moron…
